Yohji Yamamoto at the V&A Museum

People from UK this is your lucky day!  This week opens the Yohji Yamamoto exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum with over 60 garments from the designer. "Yamamoto's innovative use of textiles will be a central focus. The exhibit will run Mar 12th-July 10th."

I'd kill to go see it! Lucky those of you who are near enough to go see it and enjoy such a work of art!

Rodarte: States of Matter

Fans of Rodarte, this is your candyland! This past friday LA's Museum of contemporary art opened the Rodarte: States of Matter exhibition, where several pieces from the brand will be featured, including the ballet costumes Kate and Laura Mulleaby designed for The Black Swan, and some pieces from 2010 collections. "The fusion of art and fashion is one of the show's major themes, and the installation portrays the garments shown as "sculptural objects.""

Rodarte: States of Matter runs through June 5, 2011.
